Telangana procures 60 lakh tonnes of paddy

The Civil Provides Office of Telangana has finished procurement of 60 lakh tonnes, conference the target established by the Food items Company of India (FCI) for the Point out. The produce, procured from around 10 lakh farmers, is valued at about ₹12,000 crore.

The Point out, on the other hand, expects arrivals of thirty lakh much more tonnes of paddy, thinking of the bumper output from the kharif crop. The Point out expects a full output of about one.thirty crore tonnes from the kharif period.

As the procurement procedure finished in a number of elements of the Point out, the Office has shut down almost fifty percent of the six,900 procurement centres that it opened.

With the Point out finishing the procurement target and much more arrivals expected, the Point out Federal government requested the Union Federal government to enhance the cap.

The Point out Federal government deputed 5 ministers, led by Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy, to maintain discussions with Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Food items, Public Distribution and Food items, and persuade the Federal government to procure much more paddy from the Point out. The Union Federal government, on the other hand, has not provided any assurance to the Point out Federal government in this regard.
