Social media firm Pinterest has agreed to settle a gender discrimination and retaliation lawsuit introduced by its previous main working officer, Francoise Brougher, for $22.five million.

The settlement includes $two.five million for use in “advancing girls and underrepresented communities in the tech market.”

In August, in a lawsuit submitted in San Francisco County Outstanding Court, Brougher alleged that she was “brazenly fired” from the firm right after in a online video simply call with main govt officer Ben Silbermann right after she complained that the company’s main economic officer, Todd Morgenfeld, designed “demeaning sexist comments” toward her.
