Amid farmers’ protest at numerous areas in Punjab and Centre, Centre on Saturday reported the paddy procurement will commence from Oct 3.
The procurement (of Kharif crops) will commence from tomorrow in Haryana as well as Punjab, reported Ashwini Kumar Choubey, MoS, Customer Affairs, Food stuff & General public Distribution in Delhi.

The Central govt on Friday declared that procurement of paddy below Least Guidance Price (MSP) operation would commence from Oct 11 in Punjab and Haryana and has recommended all the agencies to gear up to assist farmers.
