Gujarat opens registration for kharif crops procurement

The Gujarat government has commenced registration course of action for procurement of kharif pulses crops in the Condition.

Condition-run Gujarat Condition Civil Provides Company Ltd will perform the procurement operations less than the minimum support price (MSP) for kharif crops of moong (eco-friendly gram), urad (black matpe) and soyabean. The on-line registration is on till Oct 31.

Notably, Gujarat has witnessed significant sowing for the pulses and soyabean. Condition agriculture department information demonstrate moong acreage at ninety nine,054 hectares — about eighteen per cent higher than three-12 months normal of 83,529 ha, although urad sowing is up by fifty seven per cent to 1,54,749 ha against the normal of 98,328 ha.

Soyabean sowing has been recorded at two,24,222 ha till Oct four — up around 74 per cent from the normal of 1,28,723 ha.

As per the Centre’s revised MSP rates for the pulses, moong MSP stands at ₹7,275 per quintal, urad at ₹6,300 per quintal and sSoyabean at ₹3,950 per quintal.

On the place, moong rates had been hovering underneath the MSP at all-around ₹6,505, while urad quoted earlier mentioned MSP at ₹6,955 and soyabean at ₹4,980 per quintal.
