Deadlock continues over farm laws, ministers and unions to meet again Fri

A meeting involving farmer unions and 3 ministers on Monday finished without development in excess of 3 farm legislation that have sparked protests at Delhi’s borders. The two sides will meet once more on January 8, Friday.

The authorities claims the legislation, which let growers bypass authorities-controlled wholesale marketplaces and sell right to customers, are a reform that provides farmers more possibilities. It has sought to guarantee the farmers that the confirmed-pricing procedure will not be dismantled.
