Previous BJP chief Yashwant Sinha on Saturday joined the Trinamool Congress ahead of the forthcoming West Bengal assembly elections. Announcing his final decision to be a part of TMC, the veteran chief stated, the tipping stage was the “assault” on West Bengal main minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.

“The nation is struggling with an unprecedented circumstance currently. The toughness of democracy lies in the toughness of the institutions of democracy. All these institutions together with the judiciary have become weak now,” Yashwant Sinha stated.

“BJP during Atal Ji’s time considered in consensus but modern authorities thinks in crushing & conquering,” he added.

Yashwant Sinha had quit BJP in 2018.

A full of 824 Assembly constituencies shall be going for polls in four states–Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam– and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Bengal Main Minister Mamata Banerjee was launched from healthcare facility yesterday, two days right after she experienced fracture on her leg during campaigning in Nandigram. TMC statements you will find a deep-rooted conspiracy powering the Nandigram incident. In Tamil Nadu, DMK has launched the names of candidates in 185 seats for the assembly elections. Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam, as well, has launched names of candidates though the actor-turned-politician himself will contest from Coimbatore South.
