Thunder squalls (fifty-sixty km/hr) are warned for Assam and Meghalaya and significant rainfall for Arunachal Pradesh till Friday.

Thunderstorms forecast

As for Friday, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (wind speeds reaching 40-fifty km/hr) more than Odisha lightning and gusty winds (thirty-40 km/hr) more than the hill of Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and lightning more than Kerala and Mahe.

In the meantime, heat wave to extreme heat wave may strike isolated pockets more than Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam even though heat wave circumstances are forecast more than Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
